Sandy is a fully qualified RYT 200 Hatha, Yin, Kids and Special Needs Yoga Teacher. Based in the Scottish Highlands, she completed her training in India under Dr. Guarav Malik. Sandy places great emphasis on yoga being inclusive. No one should feel that yoga is for the elite. Anyone can practice and should be free to practice. Sandy likes to uphold that yoga is a spiritual practice and a safe place to connect with yourself.

 

The Yoga

Hatha

Hatha is the most traditional style of yoga in that is the practice of asanas or postures which are held and created with the breath. Hatha classes are open to all levels of practitioner. A Hatha class will include pranayama practice.

Yin

Yin is a complimentary practice to other more dynamic practices. Increasingly more practitioners are recognising the need to balance ones practice by incorporating more yin. Yin yoga holds the asanas (posture) for several minutes, targeting 

Kids

In todays stressful times, little ones can hugely benefit from practising yoga from a young age. Trained by Rainbow Kids Yoga School, a kids yoga class will incorporate games, fun, stories and music to create a safe space to learn asanas and basic breathing techniques to help cope with the stress of young life.
